About The Role
The Procurement team at Volkswagen Group UK are recruiting for an indirect Buyer on a full time permanent basis. This role will report into the Procurement Category Manager.
Responsibilities
- You will lead on the delivery of projects and value generation within an indirect spend area.
- You will be providing commercial guidance and where necessary coaching and supporting your stakeholders on Procurement process and policy.
- You'll take the lead on tender activity to leverage spend across our different brands and entities; including scope review, supplier due diligence, negotiation and recommendation for approval via presentation.
- You'll proactively identify and implement areas of improvement, building strong stakeholder relationships while adding value to our core processes and ensure best practice is met at all times.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working in an indirect Procurement role.
- Confident and effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- A keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills and a strong commercial acumen.
- A self-starter, who can operate independently in accordance to the category strategies agreed with your line manager.
- Resilience and curiosity: someone who is keen to learn and contribute within a continuous improvement environment
