Responsibilities include:
- Commercial management of work packages collaborating with package managers and reporting into the project commercial lead.
- Providing risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms, mitigating risks and protecting work packages and project margins through cost control systems.
- Championing a diverse and inclusive working environment, and understanding the importance of the wellbeing of the people you manage.
- Building relationships to manage and influence stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Responsible for the commercial management of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
- Establishing cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes.
- Enhancing profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering.
- Collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary team towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition.
You will need to have:
- Proficiency in MS office tools.
- Experience in establishing cost control systems.
- Leading value engineer and cost exercises.
- Preparing monthly commercial reports.
- Developed planning and organisational skills.
- Established problem solving skills.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management (or equivalent).
- CSCS certification.
You will also have:
- Contract Management knowledge, including Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) Suite of Contracts.
- Ability to build established and effective client relationships.
- Chartered MRICS (or equivalent).
- Construction management expertise.
