Team Overview: The Marketing Science team estimates the value of marketing activities, be that a TV, Radio, Search, YouTube or Facebook advert. We add colour to this by understanding groups of customers and their motivations through both behavioural and panel-based datasets. Overall, we ensure our clients realise the full potential of their marketing investment for maximum growth.
Role Overview: The Marketing Science Consultant is a manager within the Marketing Science team who will bring experience delivering Analytics and in particular Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) solutions, attribution and other modelling approaches to clients. They will have a good understanding of the media and marketing industry. The role will suit a candidate who is passionate about analytics, focused on addressing business questions and wants to influence media and business decision making.
Working across multiple clients, your day to day will involve:
- Playing a key role in the delivery of marketing effectiveness projects, ensuring all outputs are technically excellent and address all client questions.
- Consulting and engaging with clients, ranging from project delivery to broader consultancy.
- Coaching, mentoring and line management of more junior team members, progressing their ongoing professional and technical development.
- Building relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders across the agency and the group.
- Contributing to the development of new solutions and analytical approaches that keep us on the cutting edge of marketing science.
Experience:
- 3+ years delivering MMM and other marketing analytics projects.
- Advanced understanding of Bayesian and linear regression approaches.
- Knowledge of machine learning would be an advantage.
- Experience in data and analysis and designing approaches to answer ad-hoc questions.
- Good stakeholder and team management and exposure in a client-facing environment.
- Experience working across multiple workstreams and projects.
Skills:
- Strong presenter with the ability to tell engaging stories and explain analytical techniques to a non-technical audience.
- Experience leading small teams on analytical projects that deliver clear, consultative insights in a way that influences clients' marketing outputs.
- Good experience with MMM and other marketing effectiveness techniques (e.g. digital attribution, TV attribution).
- Excellent team player and role model for other members of the team.
- Adept client, team and project management skills.
- Coding skills in either R or Python would be an advantage.
- Good Excel and PowerPoint skills.
