Working alongside one of the UK's largest cyber security consultancies, you'll tackle complex security challenges, influence strategic decisions, and help clients protect what matters most. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- As a Cyber Security Consultant, you'll become part of a collaborative team of more than 280 cyber professionals delivering end-to-end security services across government, defence, healthcare, utilities, banking and financial services.
- You'll work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, identify security risks, and develop practical, risk-based solutions that strengthen resilience and support secure transformation.
- In this role, you'll assess security across business, technology and operational environments, using recognised frameworks and threat intelligence to help clients make informed decisions.
- You'll be trusted to take ownership of complex engagements, contribute innovative thinking to security challenges, and collaborate with experienced colleagues who will support your continued development and career progression.
Key responsibilities:
- Assess & Advise on cyber security risks across business, operational and technology environments.
- Develop & Improve cyber security policies, standards and governance processes.
- Analyse & Recommend security controls aligned with recognised frameworks and best practice.
- Support & Strengthen business continuity, incident response and operational resilience capabilities.
- Collaborate & Deliver trusted cyber security advice to clients across multiple sectors.
- Apply & Interpret threat intelligence to inform security strategy and risk management.
- Build & Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and professional consultancy.
- Contribute & Innovate by identifying opportunities to improve security outcomes and client resilience.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
You’ll have a strong foundation in cyber security governance, risk management and security assurance, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll be comfortable working with recognised security frameworks and standards, translating technical and business risks into practical recommendations that deliver measurable value for clients.
Essential qualifications and experience:
- You should have experience developing cyber security policies, standards and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NCSC CAF, NIST and Cyber Essentials/Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Experience in security governance, risk management and assurance.
- Good understanding of data protection and privacy principles.
- Knowledge of security change management practices.
- Experience supporting business continuity, operational resilience and incident response.
- Understanding of networks, core infrastructure and enterprise systems.
- Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
