About the Role: The Manager, Data Operations will oversee the development and ongoing operation of one of our largest brands. This role requires a strong familiarity with analytics and technology tools, both syndicated and proprietary. The ideal candidate must be able to proactively communicate ideas and opportunities, build strong relationships with internal teams and external client stakeholders, and contribute to the growth and development of the data operation practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Operations: Actively engage in the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive data management and integrity programme. This will include establishing data collection, transformation and distribution processes, quality control and troubleshooting, and the delivery of reporting applications.
  • Process Governance: Work with onshore and offshore teams to set tasks, allocate resources, and review progress. Facilitate communication and progression of tasks through regular status meetings and working sessions. Ensure consistent and comprehensive documentation of data-related projects and processes.
  • Data Quality Control: Act as the subject matter expert for issues relating to data quality and compliance with business logic. Maintain systems for data cleansing, QA, and error correction. Ensure errors and omissions are corrected quickly, and that non-compliance is escalated appropriately.
  • Process Improvement: Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Provide guidance to the wider Data Operations team and proactively engage Data Operations leadership to identify innovative solutions that drive business outcomes.

  • Business Applications: Microsoft Office Suite, Project, Visio, Excel power user, Smartsheets.
  • Data applications and languages: Datorama, Amazon S3, Redshift, MS SQL Server, Alteryx, Tableau, R, Python.
  • Marketing and media platforms: Prisma, MediaOcean, Doubleclick, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics (Omniture), DV360, Google Ads, IAS, TradeDesk.

Experience & Skills Needed:

  • Experience in an advertising agency; Ad Operations, Analytics, or Digital Investment is preferred.
  • Experience in data governance and data quality processes in a Data Warehousing, ETL, and Business Intelligence environment.
  • Knowledge and experience across multiple media channels (digital, search, social, offline, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, numbers, and scoping exercises.
  • Strong Excel skills required.
