We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world‑class standards.
About UEFA EURO 2028
UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large‑scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.
The Role
The EURO 2028 volunteer programme will have a digital focus throughout the end‑to‑end volunteer journey. As Volunteer Systems Manager, you will play a central role in bringing this vision to life by designing and delivering the systems that sit at the heart of the programme. You’ll shape how the volunteer management system and mobile application are used, creating simple, effective and scalable solutions that work for both volunteers and delivery teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the configuration and ongoing management of the volunteer management system (Rosterfy), ensuring it is set up to support all stages of the volunteer journey.
- Work closely with the Volunteer Management team to understand their needs and translate them into clear, effective system processes and workflows.
- Ensure the system setup balances event requirements with platform capabilities, making best use of available functionality.
- Identify and implement solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual work and enhance the overall volunteer experience.
- Support integration with other event systems, working with ICT and external providers to ensure smooth data flow and compatibility.
- Provide clear guidance and support to the Volunteer Management team, helping them use the system effectively and confidently.
- Ensure data is managed accurately and securely across the volunteer lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver training, guidelines, webinars and onboarding sessions to ensure volunteer teams are confident using ICT systems.
- Ensure that all ICT milestones defined by the Volunteer Management team are monitored and delivered on time.
