Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS) is a division within M&G Life that designs and delivers bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for defined benefit pension schemes. The Senior Transition Manager is responsible for the end-to-end transition process, including managing individual schemes and developing transition management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the transition of buy-in schemes into the business and the transition from buy-in to buy-out (including attaching DC benefits)
- Manage the data verification / post-sales pricing process
- Own the Matching Adjustment compliance process for allocated schemes
- Develop and refine the transition process to establish best-in-class transition services
- Participate in external sales presentations and support the Origination team as required
- Produce and own transition plans with clients and internal stakeholders
- Act as the key internal contact point for all queries relating to the agreed schemes
- Work with the Operations team to resolve complex queries
- Negotiate operational clauses in contracts
- Own the residual risk due diligence process
- Support the broader team with new initiatives and propositions
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong relationship-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Financial Services & Insurance knowledge, especially in defined benefit pension de-risking, profits, longevity swaps and investment solutions (including defined contribution investment solutions)
- Experience of due-diligence processes and procedures
- Experience of transitioning data from pension schemes to insurers, insurer-to-insurer transfers and across administration platforms
- Passion for the customer
- Pension technical knowledge desirable
- Effective written and presentation skills
- High degree of honesty, integrity and discretion
