The role of the GSC Strategy Lead is to develop and maintain comprehensive product lifecycle strategies for the end‑to‑end supply chain that align short‑ and long‑term strategic goals (commercial sourcing, growth, risk mitigation, cost) across GSK's Global Supply Chain (GSC). Reporting to the GSC Strategy Senior Director, the Lead develops strategies for individual brands or networks, effectively managing risk, cost and other challenges. The position is accountable for new business cases, including evidence‑based recommendations to senior levels at GSK, providing technical expertise and comprehensive brand strategy knowledge to influence and guide key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work with Global Commercial and R&D teams to understand and challenge brand aims, recognising key risks and sensitivities, and translate these into a GSC strategy for the product across a 0‑10 year timeframe.
- Oversee key functional relationships and deliver deep dives and site impact assessments.
- Chair the Product Strategy LT for specific brands.
- Be accountable for the Product Strategy Document and manage delivery at a brand level to ensure stakeholders can measure performance.
- Review 10‑year annual long‑range forecasts (sales and volume) for specific brands and make proposals relating to investment and capacity.
- Set and communicate strategic objectives for a brand or nodal network strategy.
