Our GMPr team plays a critical role in helping pension schemes review and rectify their GMP liabilities for members. As a Pensions Project Consultant, you will be at the forefront of supporting clients through the GMP reconciliation and rectification process.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver GMPr projects for pension scheme clients, ensuring high standards of client service and technical accuracy for complex GMP calculations.
- Carry out review of discrepancies within the data to understand why there are discrepancies between admin and HMRC GMP, undertake calculations and analysis relating to GMP rectification, working closely with senior consultants and technical teams.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Contribute to the development of innovative GMPr solutions and best practices within the team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements for GMP rectification.
- Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in pensions administration, where manual deferred, retirement and death calculations have been performed independently.
- Previous GMP reconciliation experience would be preferable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive management of workflow and delivery of projects within timescales and budgets.
- Relevant qualifications (such as PMI Certificate in Pension Calculations) are advantageous but not essential.
- Commitment to professional development and a proactive approach to learning.
- Attention to detail and a drive to deliver high-quality work.
