Hertfordshire FA is looking for a Football Development Officer (Equality & Inclusion) to cover a maternity position. The role is based at The County Ground, Letchworth.

Position: Football Development Officer (Equality & Inclusion)

Contract Type: 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover.

Hours: 21 hours per week.

Salary: £15,000 per annum.

Location: The County Ground, Baldock Road, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 2EN (hybrid working available).

Eligibility: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

The role reports directly to the Head of Football Development and Investment and supports the delivery of The FA Grassroots Football Strategy and the Hertfordshire FA Operational Plan, ensuring Key Performance Indicators are met. The successful candidate will work with the current Football Development team to support participation and volunteers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing the FA's “A Game for All” standard for Hertfordshire and working strategically with the Hertfordshire FA Inclusion Advisory Group.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to influence diversity, volunteer, behaviour and safeguarding initiatives, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for participants.
  • Communicating clearly, providing excellent customer service, managing relationships and prioritising safeguarding in all aspects of the role.
