The HR Knowledge & Communications Manager plays a key role in our manager and colleague self-service HR model. Responsible for both the the curation of our internal HR knowledge base (our People Hub) which includes our People Policies & HR process guidance, and outgoing communications to keep colleagues across the business up-to-date with important HR touchpoints and activities. Reporting to the Head of HR Systems, Change, MI & Analytics, the role holder will be required to build a visible and extensive network across our global HR function to influence and shape our global knowledge and communications agenda. The role holder will be a key member of our HR Systems, Change, MI & Analytics team (a team of eight) working collaboratively with, and having day-to-day oversight of of our Knowledge Administrator who is based in Stirling. Hybrid working can be accommodated with the role holder being contracted to either our Edinburgh or Stirling office. It is a requirement to work from our offices on at least two days per week with at least one of those days being from our Stirling office where the broader HR Systems, Change, MI & Analytics team are based. Key responsibilities for this role: Knowledge Management Maintaining HR knowledge base: Ensure that content exists for all relevant HR topics and is easily searchable and digestible for all colleagues in the business. Content creation: Collaborate with content owners and subject matter experts across the HR function to develop multimedia content that effectively communicates key information. Identify opportunities to enhance the People Hub\'s content by incorporating engaging formats such as videos, infographics, and interactive elements. Reporting: generate regular reports on the usage, effectiveness, and impact of the HR knowledge base. Analyse data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on report findings. Content governance: Maintain and enforce content governance policies and guidelines for the publication of HR content. Ensure content quality, consistency, and relevance. Collaborate with content owners to ensure adherence to governance standards. Improving international experience: Expanding the HR knowledge base reach to better serve global offices and employees. Collaborate with regional teams to gather and incorporate localised information. Improving platform UX: Working alongside the Head of HR Systems, Technology teams and third-party development team to enhance the ServiceNow platform experience while maintaining platform health. Identify and implement enhancements to the knowledge management system, including user interface improvements and integration with other tools and platforms. Support and develop Knowledge Administrator: Work closely with Knowledge Administrator to balance workload anddeliver at pace. Communication Management Communication campaigns : Collaborate with Stakeholders across the HR function to deliver impactful HR communication via internal news platform and targeted emails Copywriting & proofreading and tone of voice guidance : Work with senior and functional HR leaders to craft messaging that engages the business audience and adheres to our internal tone of voice and brand guidelines. Liaison with Internal Communications team : Work alongside the Internal Communications team to ensure balanced HR messaging within the wider business context. Required/Desirable Skills and Experience: Experience of knowledge management practices and applications is essential (ideally experience of ServiceNow and Workday systems) Previous experience in a comms role is desired and candidate must have very strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to write in engaging, plain English with excellent attention to detail. Visual flair and ability to engage an audience while always maintaining M&G\'s tone of voice and brand. High degree of technical literacy with Office 365 applications is essential. Basic understanding of multimedia content creation software and basic understanding of CSS and SEO will be advantageous. Strong stakeholder management - Able to build collaborative relationships with senior and functional leaders, guiding on best practice and to managing expectations Forward thinking with the ability to proactively anticipate issues and mitigate as appropriate Able to react quickly and decisively, considering options and making decisions to determine the appropriate course of action. Previous experience in an HR is advantageous but not essential.
