What you'll be doing each day

  • Carry out functional assessments with claimants face‑to‑face, via video and telephone to assess their ability to undertake activities of daily living.
  • Ask focused questions and use active listening and critical reasoning skills to gather accurate information.
  • Produce high‑quality, structured clinical reports on all claimants assessed for submission to the DWP.
  • Review evidence, request and evaluate additional evidence when required and clinically triage cases to determine the correct assessment pathway.
  • Work alongside other highly experienced clinical colleagues to ensure high‑quality & fair assessments for all claimants.

Who we're looking for

  • NMC‑registered adult nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC‑registered physiotherapists, occupational therapists and paramedics or GPhC‑registered pharmacists.
  • Have a minimum of 12 months post‑qualification & registration experience, having practiced as a clinician in the UK for the last 12 months.
  • For pharmacists, NHS band 6 and band 7 applicants with a minimum of 18 months experience.
  • Excellent communication and critical‑thinking skills, confident typing and computer use.
