We are looking for a part-time Food Service Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team, helping to serve up high-quality meals and beverages across our Restaurant, Coffee Shop, Events Centre, and pop-up catering outlets. From everyday service to special events, you will be at the heart of providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every visitor.

In this part-time role, you will get hands-on with food preparation, presentation, and service, ensuring every dish and drink meets our high standards. You will also help maintain cleanliness, keep storage areas organised, and contribute to the smooth running of all our catering spaces. Whether you are serving in our 380 cover restaurant, assisting at a large event, or supporting a pop-up outlet, no two days will be the same, and your work will make a real difference to our visitors' experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Food preparation, plating and service
  • Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Stock and supply control
  • Working across different areas and shifts, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
  • Friendly and flexible approach
  • Experience in a similar role is essential, with a good awareness of health and safety and an understanding of stock and supply control
  • Enjoys engaging with people, takes pride in own work, and wants to contribute to our mission of creating memorable food experiences for all who visit the Arboretum
Work Hours:

The hours are 30 hours per week with working any 5 from 7. Flexibility for this role is key. Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR.
