You will provide financial leadership and decision support for the UK, Ireland and Nordics region for Pet Nutrition, aligning with our business strategies. You will create insights on financial performance, ensure the achievement of net sales value (NSV) targets, and manage trade fund investments to stay within budget. You will co-create business plans, challenging assumptions, spotting opportunities and risks, and driving sustainable value creation while maintaining strong control over financial data, reporting, systems, and controls. Additionally, you will ensure that both customers and internal clients adhere to established policies and terms of sale, and that trade fund investments are used effectively, focusing on reducing non-working spends.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in finance management including forecasting and planning.
- Analytical abilities with an understanding of business/financial interrelationships, including sales strategies, pricing, volumes, and cost structures.
- Experience in trend analysis, modelling, evaluation, and scorecarding/metrics.
- Knowledge of business processes, internal control concepts, and auditing practices to ensure effective protection of business assets and appropriate approval of activities.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Finance Business Partner: Support customer strategy definition and achievement of targets in the operational and 3-year value creation plans.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Work with the Customer/Channel Business Director to deliver, own, and execute the Operating Plan, including trade negotiations and business plans.
- Strategic Partnership: Build a strategic partnership with the Customer Business Director to understand the market landscape, uncover growth opportunities, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Financial Support for Consumer Promotions: Own and manage finance for consumer promotions and net quality cost (NQC) Market Profit & Loss (P&L) costs, ensuring financial control and target achievement.
- Evaluation of Trade Investments: Partner with supplier relationship management (SRM) and local teams to implement return of investment (ROI) models and best practices for evaluating promotional effectiveness and driving value creation.
- Budget and Forecast Management: Oversee the trade budget, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) market forecasts, and ensure adherence to corporate policies, while identifying opportunities and risks for target delivery.
