Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Nights) – Mars Wrigley

£2,500 Welcome bonus

Plymouth (PL6 Estover)

Shifts: 10pm – 6am Mon – Fri

£41,000 – £51,000 (Base plus shift pay inclusive) + Company bonus 8%

The primary responsibility of the role is to maintain plant equipment and fix mechanical/electrical issues sitewide. For this role a strong electrical bias with control/automation skill will be required, along with an intermediate level of mechanical expertise.

What are we looking for?

  1. Proven experience in diagnosing and fixing automation, electrical issues, within an FMCG environment.
  2. Experience in working with PLC’s.
  3. An action orientated, results driven, problem solver that works well with people and can prioritise workloads with ease.
  4. Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an electrical/automation or multiskilled engineering discipline is desirable, supported by suitable experience.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  1. As an Electrical Shift Engineer you will be performing fault diagnosis and resolving random failures on production machinery, such as automation, electrical and mechanical issues.
  2. Detailed reporting and recording of maintenance work.
  3. Drive reactive maintenance continuous improvement.
  4. Undertake preventative maintenance activities, equipment checks, repairs etc.
  5. Conduct training and coaching of all operators, technicians and apprentices.
  6. Provide on shift plant-wide support (including overtime coverage for vacancies) for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolution of Level I (PLC/Servos) and Level II (HMI) system related problems.
