Lead the future of digital learning at HAAS. The Digital Learning & Innovation Lead will be responsible for ensuring the LMS platform is structured, governed, and used to its full potential. The postholder will work closely with the Clinical Excellence L&D team to align digital learning solutions with the HAAS Training Needs Analysis (TNA), contractual requirements, and operational priorities. They will also collaborate with the Digital Learning Enablement Lead for Ingeus to maintain consistency in learning technology standards and contribute to organisation-wide digital learning initiatives. A core focus of the role is strengthening data enablement across HAAS by developing clear reporting, dashboards, and insights that support operational decision-making, compliance, and learner engagement. The postholder will lead a small team and deliver innovative, accessible, and data-driven digital learning solutions that enhance the learner experience and support high-quality training delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- In conjunction with the wider HAAS L&D Strategy, develop, embed, and maintain a clear digital learning and innovation strategy aligned to HAAS priorities and DWP contractual requirements.
- Lead a small team, providing coaching, direction, and quality assurance across all digital learning outputs.
- Act as the LMS lead for HAAS, ensuring effective governance, content architecture, user experience, reporting, and system optimisation.
- Translate high-level change, training requirements, and policy updates into digital learning solutions that are structured, accessible, and engaging for HAAS audiences.
- Design and oversee the development of digital learning materials including e-learning modules, microlearning, videos, animations, digital pathways, and interactive resources.
- Use LMS data, analytics, and reporting dashboards to generate insights that inform decision-making and improve learner engagement and performance.
- Develop and maintain LMS reporting dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights for operational and L&D stakeholders.
- Configure and manage LMS back-end structures, workflows, permissions, and content architecture to ensure effective system performance.
- Work with HR Systems and IT teams to support LMS integrations, data feeds, and user provisioning processes.
- Extract, analyse, and interpret LMS data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain data quality within the LMS through regular auditing, cleansing, and accuracy checks.
- Troubleshoot LMS issues and collaborate with technical teams or vendors to resolve system or data-related problems.
- Collaborate with SMEs, operational leaders, clinical content specialists, and external partners to ensure digital learning is accurate, relevant, and aligned to best practice.
- Introduce and champion innovative approaches such as AI-enabled learning, personalised learning pathways, automation, and digital workflow improvements.
- Ensure digital learning solutions complement and enhance blended learning programmes across HAAS.
- Support the annual TNA process and contribute to planning, prioritisation, and scheduling of digital learning products.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of digital learning technologies, trends, and methodologies, and translate these into practical solutions for HAAS.
- Ensure all digital content meets accessibility standards, quality assurance requirements, and contractual review schedules.
- Maintain a personal development plan and engage in ongoing CPD relevant to digital learning, learning technologies, and HAAS subject matter.
What we’re looking for:
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in digital learning, learning technology, or instructional design.
- Experience leading or managing a digital learning function, team, or project.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, digital learning methodologies, and blended learning approaches.
- Demonstrable experience managing or optimising an LMS (e.g., Totara, Cornerstone, Moodle).
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible digital learning materials.
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating with SMEs and stakeholders at all levels.
- Confident using digital learning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, Vyond, video editing tools).
- Strong understanding of LMS administration, including back-end configuration, workflows, and user management.
- Experience creating and interpreting LMS dashboards and reporting tools.
- Ability to extract, analyse, and present data clearly to support decision-making and compliance monitoring.
- Experience working with HR systems or system integrations, including data flows and user provisioning.
- Confident troubleshooting LMS or data issues with technical teams or vendors.
- Experience using data and analytics to inform decision-making and improve learning outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a dispersed team.
- Evidence of relevant CPD in digital learning, learning technology, or L&D.
- General IT skills and ability to use software effectively.
