This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in PMO or project controls in construction or other operational sectors including manufacturing, automotive or aerospace. If you have a deep understanding of project controls and can turn project delivery data (cost, schedule, risk) into meaningful insights that drive performance and influence decision‑making, we would love to hear from you. Please note: this is not an IT PMO role.
What will the role look like?
You will report to the Control Room Lead and play a key role in leading and enhancing project controls activities across multiple projects and functions. Your work will contribute directly to monthly reporting, governance, and strategic decision‑making across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate project controls activities, ensuring clear visibility of performance, risks, and delivery progress
- Analyse and interpret cost, schedule, and risk data to support dashboards, trend analysis, and insight reporting
- Drive improvements in data quality, data sources, and reporting processes, particularly within risk and opportunity management
- Enhance how data is integrated and used across the portfolio to highlight trends, risks, and performance issues
- Provide insight and challenge where required to improve project and portfolio performance
- Support and contribute to structured project controls reviews and cross‑functional workshops
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is analytical, detail‑focused, and experienced in project controls, with a proactive approach to improving how data is used across the business.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Power BI, MS Excel, or project management tools)
- Experience leading or significantly contributing to structured reporting cycles and improving how data is presented and utilised
- Strong understanding of project controls principles, including cost, schedule, and risk management
- Knowledge of executive reporting, performance metrics, governance, and leading indicators
- Strong commercial awareness, including how cost and risk impact project and portfolio performance
- A confident and collaborative approach, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insight
Ideal Background
- Background as a Project Controls Specialist, Project Controller, Senior PMO Analyst, or similar role in a project delivery environment (desirable)
- Strong commercial acumen (desirable)
- Experience working across functions and integrating multiple data sets into a single, clear narrative
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace
- Experience supporting project delivery, portfolio management, reporting, or planning functions (non‑IT PMO)
