Are you an experienced print room or document production professional who takes pride in delivering a high-quality service? We're looking for a Print Room Manager to oversee a busy print room operation, ensuring the efficient delivery of printing, scanning, document production, and finishing services across the business.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll take ownership of the print room service, working closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and customer-focused operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the print room, ensuring work is delivered accurately and to agreed deadlines.
- Coordinate print, scanning, copying, document production, and finishing requests across the business.
- Produce large-format drawings and small-format documents across a range of platforms and file types.
- Monitor workflows, prioritise workloads, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Support and coordinate the activities of the Print Room Assistant.
- Take ownership of print room equipment, arranging maintenance, resolving issues, and liaising with suppliers where required.
- Manage stock levels, consumables, and supplier relationships to ensure the smooth running of the service.
- Monitor print volumes, costs, and departmental expenditure, supporting budget and cost-control activities.
- Produce reporting on service performance and utilisation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and the secure handling of confidential information.
- Act as the main point of contact for print-related enquiries, providing advice and support to internal customers.
About You
You’ll have experience within a print room, reprographics, document production, or print management environment and be confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of both large-format and small-format print production.
- Experience operating print and finishing equipment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing suppliers, stock control, and budgets.
- Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
