As a Learning Specialist, you'll be at the heart of the learning and development experiences we deliver to our colleagues and leaders shaping a culture of continuous learning. This is a hands‑on role that combines training programme coordination (end‑to‑end), effective communication, learning event delivery, with continuous improvement. The ultimate goal is to deliver exceptional, high‑impact learning experiences that empower individuals and teams to achieve their full potential. The role holder will be a key team player and someone who can easily develop relationships with multiple stakeholders. They will enjoy the 'behind‑the‑scenes' work it takes to deliver exceptional learning—organisation, prioritisation, high attention to detail—and be energised by supporting the delivery of learning events and experiences 'on the day' with a strong emphasis on the learner experience.
What You'll Do
- Support the programme co‑ordination for our flagship People Manager Series, Leadership programmes and the Construction Engineering Masters programme (a unique partnership with Laing O'Rourke and Cambridge University). Please note that due to the nature of the role, some overnight travel within the UK will be required.
Key accountabilities
- Work collaboratively with the Leadership and Talent Leads to co‑ordinate all aspects of programme delivery from programme nominations, launch events, masterclasses and close events (blend of in‑person and virtual delivery).
- Event management support during in‑person events, must be agile and able to work well under pressure to support the delivery, foreseeing and dealing with challenges as they arise.
- Proactively manage all learning processes such invoicing, venue contracts, attendance trackers and updating learning records on SuccessFactors. A high attention to detail is a must.
- Strong engagement and communication skills (written and verbal) to deal with participant and vendor queries in a timely manner.
- Liaise with internal (People Function, Managers/Leaders and Executives) and external (Leadership providers, venues, University of Cambridge) stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of programme activities (room bookings/ordering of materials/diary management etc).
- Diligent maintenance of learning data and records for reporting purposes and to make recommendations for continuous improvements (improving the user experience, streamlining processes for efficiency etc).

- Critical thinking - To understand the logical connection between activities and the ability to question ideas and assumptions, identify inconsistencies and arrive at new and alternative solutions.
- Customer care - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing great customer and stakeholder service.
- Process improvement - Ability to recognise opportunity to add value to customer journey through changes to approach.
- Data analysis - Data cleaning, analysis and interpretation using Excel or similar tool.
- Digital literacy - Can use software or platforms like SuccessFactors LMS, LinkedIn Learning, Microsoft suite, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Word, Articulate, Adobe Systems Adobe Acrobat / Photoshop, Mentimeter or other polling software.
Location: Dartford based and occasional travel to venue/project locations (some overnight stays with notice‑minimum 1 month).
