A day includes: As Assistant Shopper Marketing Manager, you will plan and coordinate the production and execution of customer-facing promotional material across Superdrug stores in the UK and Ireland.

You'll create best-in-class in-store marketing plans that attract and retain customers, drive conversion and ensure key promotions are communicated clearly and consistently throughout our stores.

Working closely with our Commercial, Own Brand and Store Operations teams, as well as external suppliers and agencies, you'll help deliver engaging and accurate point-of-sale material from initial brief through to store distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create best-in-class in-store marketing plans that attract and retain customers while driving conversion.
  • Collaborate with and challenge Commercial and Own Brand teams, suppliers and agencies to produce promotional material that drives sales.
  • Manage the day-to-day production of point-of-sale material through external agencies and suppliers.
  • Ensure key strategic promotions are communicated effectively and consistently throughout stores.
  • Produce inspiring and engaging briefs for studio artwork teams, agencies and suppliers.
  • Deliver accuracy across all in-store customer communications.
  • Coordinate the distribution of point-of-sale material from creation through to stores.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Store Support, Commercial teams, suppliers and agencies.
  • Identify solutions and processes that improve efficiency and ways of working.
  • Manage agreed budgets and timescales, confidently negotiate supplier costs and track savings.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and support the wider Marketing team when required.
  • Support and deliver projects as required.
  • Bring previous experience from a fast-paced marketing, operational, visual merchandising, retail or point-of-sale agency environment.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of in-store marketing, point-of-sale material and fixtures, as this is not a digital marketing role.
  • Have excellent communication, organisation and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Be confident, energetic and able to work to deadlines while prioritising a busy workload.
  • Be proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to work independently.
  • Have basic financial knowledge and excellent PC skills.
  • Ideally have previous people-management experience or a natural ability to nurture and develop others.
  • Hold a marketing degree or have equivalent relevant experience.
