Siemens Healthineers is hiring a Chemical Technician in the Point of Care Diagnostics business line. The role is a full‑time permanent position at the Sudbury, United Kingdom facility. Working hours are 06:00–14:00 Monday–Thursday and 06:00–12:30 Friday.

Your Role

  • Safely handle and dispose of chemicals on site, adhering to COSHH and ensuring the safety of others.
  • Accurately weigh out chemicals, maintain raw material expiry checks, and ensure process checks are followed to release quality batches.
  • Prepare and produce batches to internal standards, using test methods, analyzing data, and making calculations to stay within tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate records following good documentation practice.
  • Approve labels and prepare/refer to internal laboratory standards.
  • Work to meet GMP compliance and FDA standards.
  • Resolve assigned, non‑routine tasks, contribute to projects, and support development initiatives.

Your Expertise & Experience

  • Ability to manage time effectively and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Adherence to controlled standard operating procedures without deviation.
  • Effective team member with communication skills across functions.
  • Curiosity, willingness to learn and try new things, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Science (chemical related) degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a medical/Pharma manufacturing environment.
  • IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
