At Siemens Healthineers, we pioneer breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everywhere. Sustainably.
Our inspiring and caring environment brings together people who are curious, collaborative and motivated by meaningful work. We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering the flexibility, trust and resources to support both your professional growth and personal wellbeing, while valuing the unique contribution you bring.
If you're excited by building something new, solving complex technical challenges, and seeing the real-world impact of your work, this could be a standout opportunity.

About the role

This is a newly created IT Infrastructure Engineer role, established to support one of Siemens Healthineers' most significant UK investments: our brand-new Β£250m innovation and manufacturing facility at Bicester. From the outset, you'll play a central role in shaping, supporting and evolving the IT infrastructure that underpins this state-of-the-art site.
You'll be a key technical partner as the facility grows, balancing hands-on delivery with longer-term design and improvement. Working closely with local and global teams, you'll help ensure the environment is secure, resilient and future-ready, while having genuine influence over how systems are built and optimised from day one.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting, designing and implementing core IT infrastructure for a brand-new manufacturing and innovation environment
  • Identifying and delivering opportunities to improve system performance, resilience and security
  • Defining, developing and delivering complex infrastructure projects, working both independently and collaboratively
  • Maintaining and enhancing information and cyber security practices across systems and platforms
  • Investigating issues, identifying root causes, and recommending or implementing effective solutions
  • Working closely with the Service Desk on escalated incidents, providing technical support and knowledge transfer
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, shared ownership and learning

What skills and experience you'll bring

  • Experience working with Windows desktop and server environments, both on-premise and cloud-hosted
  • Knowledge of high-performance computing environments
  • Networking experience across LAN (VLANs), WAN (SD-WAN), Wi-Fi and firewalls
  • Experience with infrastructure and server monitoring
  • A strong understanding of information and cyber security best practices
  • Familiarity with ITIL and project management principles
  • Ability to automate tasks using scripting
  • A thoughtful, collaborative approach, with the confidence to work autonomously when required
