Our Engineering team is made up of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, and supply chain teams that help make sure they\’re well maintained and ready to get our customers to their chosen destinations. As a B1 or B2 Engineer, you will carry out allocated maintenance tasks, in a safe and secure manner, to certify such tasks in accordance with VA and regulatory requirements and to supervise small teams to achieve such maintenance tasks.
Day to day
- To efficiently carry out maintenance tasks and lead teams to deliver the highest maintenance, safety and reliability standards.
- Act as the focal point of communication between the team, the AMS/AMM in Technical Control and where required, third party interest to support efficient and timely maintenance, completed on time.
- Accountable for ensuring accurate certification of tasks and supervise third party suppliers.
- Demonstrate clear leadership and understanding of efficient working practices and actively promote within the working environment.
- Meaningful people engagement to ensure the team is appropriately supervised.
- Be aware of effective control of costs budget.
- Support revenue generation and control of cost.
- Drive compliance with Engineering safety.
About you
To apply for this role you will need demonstrable supervisory skills with experience in a certifying engineer capacity plus CAA B2 license or B1 License with company approvals on 1 or more of the following aircraft types: A330 (RR Trent), A350 (RR Trent), B787 (RR Trent).
You\’ll need a proactive attitude and sound ability to plan ahead. Excellent communication skills will be a key attribute along with strong team working abilities including leading a small team. You will enjoy inspiring confidence in others especially when tackling problems and issues and be willing to show a degree of flexibility when required.
A full, valid UK driving licence is also essential.
