Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of eCommerce and advertising, offering a range of digital display advertising solutions to help customers find and discover products. On the Publishing Ad Sales team, we assist our unique books advertiser customers in reaching readers on Amazon.com, other owned sites, high-quality web sites, and on Kindle, tablets, and mobile devices. Our ad solutions—including sponsored ads, display, video, and audio ads—leverage Amazon\’s innovations to engage audiences throughout their daily journeys. We prioritize customer-centric approaches in all our activities, including advertising.
This is a rare opportunity to join a dedicated sales team within Amazon Ads focused on expanding books advertising revenue. The Account Executive (AE) will play a strategic role in shaping the future of ads for Authors in the UK+EU regions. The role involves supporting Indie (KDP) and traditional authors, with a focus on cultivating new business and driving campaign activations. The UK+EU Author AE will serve as a liaison between advertising customers and internal teams, capturing voice of customer (VOC) insights and identifying opportunities for improvement. Success in this role requires strategic and tactical thinking, strong business acumen, and experience selling digital advertising solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional sales and service to our Author advertising clients.
- Drive predictable revenue growth by prospecting, establishing new relationships, and expanding existing accounts.
- Deeply understand the suite of display and search advertising tools available for authors.
- Influence customer decisions through data insights and educate authors on the long-term benefits of their ad investments.
- Conduct meetings—via phone, video, or in person—to demonstrate expertise and align solutions with customer goals.
- Act as a strategic leader to create future value for Amazon and its books advertisers while delivering immediate results.
- Use CRM tools to manage account information, track sales progress, and forecast revenue accurately.
- Develop a passion for the publishing industry and stay informed about the competitive media landscape.
About the Team
The Publishing Ad Sales team focuses on driving ad revenue from books advertisers, employing tailored growth strategies for publishers and authors. We guide advertisers toward sustainable, full-funnel ad strategies using both managed and self-service buying models.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s degree
- Experience in closing sales and generating revenue
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proven ability to create and refine operational processes to improve revenue or campaign efficiency
