Your new company is a leading UK manufacturer of high-security and safety-critical products seeking a Senior Quality & Process Control Engineer to join its niche division. With a strong reputation for engineering excellence and compliance within highly regulated environments, the business plays a key role in delivering complex programmes across the secure estate.
Your new role as Quality & Process Control Engineer involves taking full ownership of the quality function across a certain segment. Based from the core manufacturing site, you will lead quality strategy while providing hands-on support across manufacturing, installation and commissioning phases nationwide. This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring frequent travel to live project sites, including secure environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Establishing robust process controls across a diverse product range
- Driving full lifecycle CAPA activities, including root cause analysis and implementation of long-term corrective actions
- Supporting installation teams on-site, ensuring compliance with specifications and resolving quality issues in real time
- Conducting audits across manufacturing operations and supplier base
- Ensuring compliance with key standards and regulations
- Managing quality documentation, traceability systems, and client reporting requirements
- Engaging with key stakeholders including Tier 1 contractors and government bodies during pre-construction and delivery phases
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in a senior quality or process engineering role within manufacturing, construction, or high-security environments
- Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance
- Experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Whys, FMEA and root cause analysis
- Demonstrable experience supporting multi-site or project-based quality delivery
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and partners
- A flexible approach with the ability to travel extensively across the UK
