Your new company
We have an opportunity for a Transport Supervisor for a manufacturing business near Thetford. You will join a busy and established team supervising the transport office and company drivers working Sunday to Thursday afternoons.
Your new role
Day to day you will perform vehicle checks as drivers and vehicles return to site, you will perform debriefs, ensuring all drivers have completed daily duties and vehicle processes. You will capture and record data for the logistics operation on a daily basis and ensure KPI and performance monitoring is achieved. You will perform gate checks, assess vehicles for any damage, monitor and report as required. You will manage VOR and breakdown support, vehicle drop-offs and collections and support with daily vehicle maintenance processes. Support vehicle loading, and move vehicles on site as required. You will provide on-call support to drivers whilst on duty, make any adjustment to plans based on changing circumstances (route and load planning) and cover for unplanned absence for trunk runs as required.
What you\’ll need to succeed
You will have experience in people management, knowledge of tachographs and drivers\’ hours regulations, a C+E category licence (Class 1) for emergency cover as required. Strong IT skills, ERP systems knowledge, Forklift licence, driver CPC card.
