My client is a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor seeking a Senior and/or a Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic major civils project on the outskirts of Perth. This role will support the commercial team in managing subcontract packages, cost controls, and contract administration to ensure the project's commercial success.

In this role, you will be the primary contact for all commercial matters within your area and provide advice and guidance to wider contract teams and ensure the robust commercial management of subcontractors and supply chain partners, including the preparation, review and evaluation of subcontract enquiries, quotations and payments, final accounts and input to dispute resolution. This role offers a unique opportunity to implement commercial best practices, maximising value while minimising risk and cost for our client.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, review their work, and support their professional development.
  • Manage and maintain their relationship with clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor costs, comparing actual costs against budgeted amounts. Identify cost variances and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Producing monthly CVR's.
  • Produce quarterly budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for Task Orders.
