Your new company
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Engineer/Team Leader to join a busy manufacturing business. Reporting to the Shift Engineering Manager, you will lead and coach a team of engineers working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Your new role
You will manage a team of engineers, including a technician and shift apprentice. You will manage contractors and suppliers and raise permits where appropriate. You will ensure the site PPM is implemented, and manage the site CMMS system using root cause analysis to reduce future downtime. Review maintenance activities and improve cost-effectiveness. Support reliability centred maintenance activities, site improvement projects and liaise with suppliers of site equipment. You will ensure a detailed and accurate shift report and handover are available for the incoming shift lead.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced engineer with strong FMCG experience, strong electrical and mechanical knowledge of PLCs, fault-finding, pneumatics, hydraulics. Able to demonstrate leadership skills by coaching and developing your team, with strong communication skills, knowledge of CMMS systems and a good understanding of health & safety in the workplace.
