Your new company is a leading FMCG manufacturer based in Bristol, seeking a Quality Engineer to join their growing technical team. This organisation is renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement, supplying products to major retailers across the UK and internationally.
Your new role as a Quality Engineer will involve maintaining and improving quality standards across manufacturing operations. You will work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet both internal specifications and external regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Driving continuous improvement activities using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Leading root cause analysis and corrective action processes (RCA / CAPA)
- Supporting internal and external audits, including supplier audits
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards such as ISO 9001, BRC, or HACCP
- Monitoring and reporting on key quality KPIs
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product and process quality
- Managing non-conformance investigations and ensuring timely resolution
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role within FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g. ISO, BRC, HACCP)
- Experience with continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- A relevant engineering or quality-related qualification (or equivalent experience)
