Your new company

You will be working for a well-known public sector organisation based in Milton Keynes. The requirement is to be on-site 3 days a week. The contract length is 15 months and this role is inside scope of IR35. It is essential that you are a British national as the role will be required to go through SC clearance prior to joining.

Your new role

  • Manage and deliver large and medium-scale improvement projects within the organisation's Services' core processes with the aim of adding value through minimising costs and improving efficiencies.
  • Lead on the implementation of change management plans for improvement initiatives.
  • Complete feasibility assessments and business justifications for proposed improvement initiatives prior to implementation.
  • Develop and manage plans, monitor and report on performance against the plan, including benefits identification and tracking, and impact assessment.
  • Identify overlaps and synergies across the organisation to facilitate cross-functional working.
  • Work together with business improvement colleagues to identify and develop a pipeline of achievable improvement initiatives capable of delivering the agreed efficiency/improvement targets.
  • Support the development and implementation of a strategy and plan to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Provide advice, support and facilitation to improve practice, process and procedure in the organisation's Services business functions through simplification, standardisation and automation wherever possible.
  • Train, coach and support colleagues to achieve their own improvements and identify opportunities for enhanced performance, helping to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Embed tools, techniques and ways of working that will deliver efficiencies, engage people and deliver step change in the core operating model.

Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of, experience in, and proven delivery of, business improvement methodologies and solutions.
  • Demonstrable evidence of leading and delivering process improvement projects and successful business and process change.
  • Minimum Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent.
  • An understanding of change management approaches and demonstrable evidence of delivering change management across complex projects.
  • Project management skills and experience.
  • Experience in handling, analysing and understanding diverse data sources.
  • Ability to understand and translate high-level process implications easily without being a subject matter expert.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills - able to quickly build successful business relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using M365 applications.
