You will be joining a well-established, privately owned, family-run food manufacturing business with almost four decades of experience. The company operates across multiple UK sites and employs over 350 people, producing thousands of tonnes of high-quality seafood products annually.

As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of site equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, on-site position working on a rotating shift pattern. The role has an electrical bias but requires a flexible, multi-skilled engineering approach. You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and installation work, supporting production operations and minimising downtime.
Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you will be expected to take ownership of tasks from day one, contributing to planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, and improvement projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical skillset in a dynamic and supportive environment.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with 3-phase systems up to 415V
- 18th Edition (or willingness to train)
- Multi-skilled maintenance experience (mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic beneficial)
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently
