Your new role: As the Night Shift Production/Shift Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing the production operations during night hours, ensuring throughput, efficiency, and product quality are consistently achieved. You will lead a team of production staff, overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations to build a proactive, collaborative culture. You will implement and maintain quality systems, including supporting the business through BRC accreditation, and ensure corrective actions are taken when processes deviate from standard. You will direct production activities to meet schedules and delivery deadlines, introduce best-practice operational methods, and drive improvements in production processes. You will support shop-floor activity as required, ensuring strong housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and compliance with Health & Safety legislation. You will also champion lean initiatives and continuous improvement across the department. Night shift hours: 21:30 - 06:00 (Sunday night - Friday morning).
What you'll need to succeed: You will have a minimum of two years' experience in the food processing industry, with strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and quality standards. You will bring proven people-management experience, including training and developing staff, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will demonstrate strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities. Experience with factory audits such as BRC and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central) would be advantageous. You will be dependable, results-focused, and comfortable working on your own initiative, with the flexibility required for night-shift operations.
