Your new company: We are seeking an experienced maintenance engineer for a well-known manufacturer near Thetford. This is a fast-paced business supplying products to the food industry across the UK and beyond.
Your new role: You will join a team of experienced engineers working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 12-hour shifts across days and nights. You will work to the site maintenance schedule, ensuring all equipment is operational and well maintained, thus reducing the risk of breakdown. Any breakdowns will be responded to with urgency to reduce downtime and keep to production schedules. You will have strong IT skills, log all work and critical spares to ensure the maintenance plan is updated and accurate, log any downtime and perform root cause analysis to reduce repeat incidents. You will operate safely and adhere to the site's health and safety standards at all times.
What you’ll need to succeed: You will have completed an engineering-based apprenticeship, with strong electrical and mechanical skills. You will have strong fault-finding skills (knowledge of Siemens 7) and 3 phase motors, switchgear, pneumatics and hydraulics. You will be open to further development and training both on and off-site where required.
