Your new role as a Senior EC&I Engineer involves providing technical leadership across the full engineering lifecycle of complex systems within highly regulated sectors. You will take ownership of design quality, technical assurance and compliance, checking and approving designs, calculations and technical documentation with minimal supervision. You will work closely with clients to translate requirements into robust, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions and will actively contribute to design reviews as projects progress.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining engineering quality across projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications, engineering standards and internal procedures.
- Taking responsibility for the technical integrity of complex EC&I systems.
- Managing engineering lifecycle and system maturity activities.
- Producing, reviewing and updating technical documentation in line with client requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and applicable legislation.
- Leading design and system-level reviews and ensuring subsequent designs meet agreed project and client requirements.
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all client data and information.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as a Senior EC&I Engineer within complex, highly regulated environments.
- Professional registration with an approved institution at IEng level.
- Eligibility to obtain and hold appropriate security clearance, including sole British nationality.
- A working knowledge of Def-Stan 08-123 and Def-Stan 00-035.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
