Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre- and post-inspections of occupied and vacant rooms and properties to assess the scope of internal and external French polishing and restoration work required.
  • Identify furniture repair needs and carry out the most effective and efficient preparation, repair, and finishing techniques to achieve high‑quality results.
  • Perform a wide range of French polishing and finishing tasks across occupied and vacant properties, ensuring a durable, professional, and luxury‑standard finish at all times.
  • Prepare and clean surfaces using appropriate methods and hand‑held power tools, including sanding, scraping, sand‑blasting, hydro‑blasting, and steam‑cleaning.
  • Repair cracks, chips, and imperfections in furniture and joinery using fillers and sealants before preparing surfaces for finishing applications.
  • Select suitable wood stains, finishes, and colour tones to achieve the desired appearance, texture, and finish.
  • Apply stains, lacquers, enamels, oils, varnishes, fiberglass coatings, metal coatings, and fire‑retardant finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines and health & safety standards.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail while delivering high standards of craftsmanship and presentation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work across multiple properties and locations as required.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, on a shift rota.
