This well-established, family-run engineering firm has five depots across Scotland and a strong reputation for looking after its staff. With a consistent pipeline of work and a loyal customer base, they service a wide variety of industrial and commercial equipment across sectors ranging from manufacturing to agriculture. As the business continues to grow, they are now recruiting for a new Mobile Engineer to cover the West Central Scotland area.

THE ROLE

This is a field-based service role offering real variety – no two days are the same. You will be responsible for the routine servicing, inspection and maintenance of mechanical equipment at a wide range of customer sites. You will visit all sorts of locations – from large manufacturing facilities to rural farms in the countryside. All work is Monday to Friday – no weekend requirements. You will receive paid door-to-door travel – most engineers earn £35,000+. Starting salary is £29,000 and rises to £32,000 after 12 months. A full and structured training programme is provided, including classroom-based learning and one-to-one coaching in the field with experienced engineers. All tools, uniform, PPE and a fully equipped van are supplied.

ABOUT YOU

You are currently in an engineering role (either field-based or site-based) and want more variety. You hold an NC or HNC in engineering – any discipline. You enjoy working independently, solving problems, and speaking with customers. You have a full UK driving licence and a good work ethic.
