Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
£45-50,000 basic
Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm
No call-outs, no standby, no mandatory weekends

This is a well-funded, long-established Scottish business with a broad mix of customers, from blue-chip food and drink producers through to timber and paper producers.
It provides a wide range of specialist works, from mechanical maintenance and upgrades through to the design and installation of bespoke plant and infrastructure.
The business has a flat management structure, which means your ideas and feedback will be heard and you will have a real say in shaping the job you do.
The Role
No call-outs
No standby

This is a pre-planned maintenance role across central Scotland that will see you working Monday to Friday, with lots of overtime opportunities available if you want them.
Shutdowns and overhauls are booked in months ahead, so you always know what's coming.
Your evenings and weekends are your own, and during the day you can expect real variety: stripping down and upgrading conveyors, replacing chains, bearings and sprockets, gearbox work and sorting mechanical faults on production lines.
And thanks to the breadth of this business, you'll have plenty of chances to get your teeth into other things, working with different parts of the operation.
About You
We're looking for someone who thrives on variety.
The kind of person who isn't too precious about staying in their own lane and will muck in where required.
You might currently be working as a maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer or time-served fitter; what matters is an experienced mechanical maintenance background, preferably with a track record in production environments such as bottling halls, packaging lines or food and drink plants, and the appetite to support all aspects of a smaller business, where the job description is wide and the team rely on each other for support.
The Rewards
£45,000-£50,000 basic, paid overtime on top if you want it, a Monday to Friday day job, and a permanent role in a stable business where you won't just be a number.
