The role:
Reporting to the Head of Technical, you'll set and maintain technical and quality standards across concrete and related products. It's hands-on and business-facing: Factory Production Control across concrete and aggregates, issuing certificates of design and compliance, advising the commercial team on specifications, supporting plant teams with day-to-day queries, and resolving customer issues when they arise. You'll also support new product development, manage external certification activity, and help audit and develop the laboratory team.
What you'll need:
- A recognised concrete qualification — ICT Diploma in Concrete Technology, an industry degree or equivalent
- A solid working knowledge of concrete technology
- The personal credibility to operate alongside experienced technicians and plant operators
- The appetite to develop within a structured technical function
You might be: a hands-on technical professional ready to step up, or someone from a UKAS-accredited testing lab, a building products operation or a related construction materials setting looking for production-focused, real-world impact.
