This business is recognised for its highly technical capability, delivering complex engineered solutions and managing major installation and service projects in some of the most challenging environments globally. Having doubled in size in recent years, continued growth across offshore wind, marine infrastructure and defence projects has created the need for an experienced Project Manager to lead installation and service operations.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of engineering installation and service projects, managing a small team of engineers and technicians while acting as the main point of contact between customers and the wider business. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time and within budget, across large capital equipment installations and ongoing service contracts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end installation and service projects for major engineered equipment
  • Leading and coordinating a small team of installation/service personnel
  • Planning project schedules, resources and budgets
  • Liaising with customers, internal engineering, operations and commercial teams
  • Overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with H&S and quality standards
  • Managing subcontractors where required
  • Monitoring progress, resolving technical challenges and reporting on project performance

Projects range from smaller service works through to large-scale capital equipment installations for offshore wind, marine and industrial clients.

The Person

We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong engineering background and proven experience delivering installation or project-based work in technical environments. You will ideally have:

  • Experience managing engineering installation or capital equipment projects
  • A background in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering (or similar)
  • Experience leading teams and coordinating site-based activities
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Experience within marine, offshore, renewables, defence, oil & gas or heavy engineering sectors (desirable but not essential)

The Package

£50,000 - £60,000 basic salary (depending on experience) with a benefits package (pension, holiday, company support) and strong long-term career progression with a growing engineering organisation.

Why Apply?

  • Work on major engineered installation projects across offshore and renewable sectors
  • Join a technically strong organisation with significant growth plans
  • High level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Long-term career development opportunities
