Due to continued growth and project demand, EPS seeks a graduate power system engineer to join our expanding team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the forefront of major projects across key energy sectors, including renewables, battery storage, transmission & distribution, and data centres.

Key Responsibilities

EPS Graduates are expected to actively contribute to the company’s continued growth, building upon technical expertise while developing strong client and vendor relationships. From day one, you will gain hands‑on experience working independently and alongside senior power systems engineers, contributing to projects that vary in size and complexity.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the delivery of electrical engineering projects within various industrial sectors – onshore and offshore.
  • Using ETAP and other power system modelling software to perform load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, motor starting, and arc flash studies.
  • Preparing electrical specifications and data sheets for LV and HV equipment.
  • Understanding client requirements into effective, practical technical solutions.
  • Producing high‑quality technical reports and presenting findings where required.
  • Engaging with clients to achieve project objectives using sound technical judgement.
  • Supporting senior engineers and collaborating with teams across multiple projects.
  • Assisting business development activities by building strong client relationships and contributing to commercial and technical proposals.

What We’re Looking For: Electrical Engineering Background

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Power System Engineer with at least a 2:1 degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. You should have a good understanding of core electrical engineering principles and ideally some exposure to onshore or offshore industries such as oil & gas, power distribution, wind energy, manufacturing, or petrochemicals. Proficiency with spreadsheets for calculations and analysis, along with strong problem‑solving skills and clear communication, is essential.

Experience with power system modelling software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, or CDEGS would be advantageous, but full training and mentoring will be provided through the EPS Graduate Programme. Above all, we are looking for someone eager to learn, confident working with clients, and committed to developing their career within a world‑class engineering consultancy.

  • Project Management Skills: Utilises well-developed technical thinking and analytical problem‑solving skills by establishing the accuracy and relevance of information.
  • Creativity and Curiosity: Open to challenge, using creativity to think beyond boundaries.
  • A passion for engineering: Any engineering-related activities carried out during or out of formal education would be advantageous.

Training & Development

One‑to‑one training will be provided by an experienced Chartered Electrical Engineer to support your professional development. EPS will also deliver structured training in ETAP, DIgSILENT, and PSCAD power system modelling software, equipping you with the skills to perform complex engineering calculations and simulations.

Where required, Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) may also be provided to prepare you for offshore project work.
