Our Client is a growing and ambitious electrical contractor specialising in renewables installations, repair, and maintenance across domestic and commercial sites. They are seeking a Senior Electrician / Electrical Supervisor to join their expanding team. Operating across domestic and commercial projects, the successful Electrician will be working on a variety of installations and testing, particularly within the renewable energy sector, including ongoing solar, heat pumps, and EV projects across Essex and surrounding counties.
Senior Electrician Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
- Carry out Solar PV installations on domestic and commercial properties
- Oversee installation of Solar PV, EV Chargers, and Heat Pumps
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
- Testing and commissioning of newly installed renewables systems
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or required remedial works
- Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and safety standards
- Working from home or the office one to two days a week, maintaining accurate job records and documentation, reviewing testing documentation etc.
Senior Electrician Requirements
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Based within a commutable distance of Chelmsford
- Good communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a supervisory position (Advantageous)
- 2919 EV Charging Installation qualification (Advantageous)
Senior Electrician Remuneration
- Salary £45,000 - £50,000
- 40 hour working week
- Company vehicle - including private usage
- 20 days holiday + BH
