Our Client is seeking a Crew Chief / Licensed Aircraft Engineer (Part 66 B1.2 / B3) to join their Aircraft Engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership role where technical expertise meets operational coordination. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, supervise engineering teams, and ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
Aircraft Engineer Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance crews during inspections, repairs, modifications, and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and manage engineering resources to support operational flight schedules.
- Act as the key liaison between maintenance teams, flight operations, and engineering management.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with UK CAA regulations, company procedures, and OEM specifications.
- Review, certify, and maintain work packages, technical records, and aircraft logbooks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues, providing technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance checks including 50Hr, 100Hr, and Annual inspections.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, supporting development and certification pathways.
