The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
You will be responsible for planning, leading and coordinating the engineering function to support sales and production teams to ensure timely delivery of complex design engineered-to-order bespoke OEM electro-mechanical HV, MV & LV testing equipment & plant including portable, permanent and trailerised versions to the correct cost, quality and technical specification. The role will involve daily interaction and key communication with key internal functions, suppliers and customers in the achievement of this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide knowledge, technical leadership, and professionalism in the area of electrical and mechanical systems for the purpose of developing power test solutions.
- Manage and coordinate the electrical and mechanical teams responsible for detailed build definition, electrical drawings, technical performance checks and sheet metal programs. Ensure these are delivered in a timely manner to meet the weekly / monthly production needs.
- Manage and coordinate the frontend customer support team which provides applications, technical support, costing guidance and BOM selection or creation.
- Ensure the product build data accuracy is managed via a 3C process and appropriate document control / data release process.
- Manage product enhancements and cost / quality / legislation engineering through the change management process (led by the engineering function).
