What You\’ll Do Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking an experienced Environmental Principal to join our team. This role ensures that overall goals related to quality and performance are achieved. Responsibilities for any one particular project are limited. The goal is to delegate to senior staff and step in when and where it is most useful. Principals are the problem solvers and the final reviewers for projects. The ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values. Key Responsibilities Actively mentor junior staff and support the overall development of the team. Provide mentorship to Associate Principals as assigned. Attend project meetings and provide solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary. Market our services and maintain and further develop the client database. Oversee project budgets, review change orders and invoices, and assist with collection efforts. Train and oversee subordinate staff members. Prioritize tasks effectively and meet project deadlines. Oversee environmental projects, assist junior staff with issue resolution, and train field staff. Oversee the preparation and review of proposals, change orders, and environmental reports from junior staff. Perform deliverable reviews in accordance with ECS Principal review policy. Host or attend project discussions with clients and follow up on reports. Assist senior staff with staffing decisions. Perform other duties as assigned. What We\’re Looking For Qualifications Bachelor\’s and/or Master\’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields. Minimum 12 years of related experience; 16 or more years can meet education requirements. Licensed as at least one of the following: PE, PG, REM, CIH, CHMM, PWS, CSP, LSS, CIE, REPA, or CEM. Previous designation as Principal at ECS or a similar designation from a competitor firm. Skills and Abilities Extensive knowledge of environmental principles, regulations, and test methods. Strong client management skills and ability to develop new clients. Technical excellence, leadership skills, and commitment to professional development.
