Our client is a well-established engineering business supplying specialist equipment and services to customers throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join their Purchasing & Warehouse team.

The Role
Working as part of a busy warehouse operation, you'll play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and booking in deliveries.
- Unloading, checking, labelling and storing incoming goods.
- Reporting shortages or damaged goods promptly.
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
- Loading and unloading vehicles using counterbalance and reach forklift trucks.
- Safely storing products within warehouse racking and designated storage areas.
- Carrying out stock checks and supporting inventory accuracy.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
- Carrying out routine checks on warehouse equipment.
- Working closely with colleagues across the warehouse and purchasing functions.
- Following company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Counterbalance and Reach Forklift licences.
- Good understanding of stock control and warehouse procedures.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
