The Engineering College of Technology (ECT) is excited to announce the expansion of our team with a new position: Admissions Officer. ECT has recently been established and registered in the UK. ECT is a sister company of the Australian-based Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT). EIT is an engineering education and training specialist with more than 30 years of association with the engineering industry worldwide. EIT delivers more than 85 industry-driven accredited qualifications and professional development courses, to students in over 160 countries. Students study on-campus and online using an innovative and interactive platform of learning.

About the Role

The Admissions Officer is responsible for managing the admissions process, including processing applications, conducting interviews, assessing qualifications, and communicating with prospective students. The role involves critical administrative tasks associated with the admission of students, with a focus on accuracy of data, high-level customer service and compliance with internal and external processes, procedures and government legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of student applications and offer letters to maximise the conversion of enquiries into applications and enrolments.
  • Updating records and databases and communication of application outcomes to students and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that an efficient, effective and timely customer focused administrative service is offered to students.
  • Working collaboratively with other ECT staff to ensure a seamless and coordinated enrolment process that ensures an excellent student experience.
  • Manage systems and processes to ensure all databases are kept up to date with accurate and detailed information.
  • Liaising with agents, students and staff regarding admission and enrolment related queries.
  • Ensuring all admissions compliances are met.
  • Any other duties as designated by your manager.

About You

Essential Criteria:

  • 2-3 years of experience working in student admissions.
  • Strong understanding of UK higher education compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent administrative, time-management and organizational skills.
  • Able to confidently communicate and work with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
