About the Role
Engineering @365 is recruiting a senior Engineering Sales Manager for a leading engineering company specialising in rubber-to-metal bonded products. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage the Engineering and Sales team, driving growth, supporting technical development, and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers. You will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen, providing guidance on product design, supplier management, and sales strategy to maximise performance and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Engineering and Sales teams to deliver operational and commercial targets
- Develop and expand the company's product range and customer base
- Provide technical support on product design, application, and development projects
- Maintain strong customer relationships, manage enquiries, and provide solutions
- Oversee sales strategy, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the departments
- Monitor budgets, costs, and supplier performance to optimise results
- Train, mentor, and support team members to improve skills and performance
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures
Skills & Experience
- BSc, BEng, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in rubber-to-metal bonded products, applications, and engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior engineering sales role
- Track record in managing teams and developing departmental processes
- Strong commercial, analytical, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- IT proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook; Sage preferred; AutoCAD advantageous)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and confident decision-maker
