About the role
We're looking for reliable Gate Operatives to join our team at a busy transport depot. You'll be the first point of contact for everyone arriving at the site, making sure only authorised vehicles, drivers and visitors come in and out.
Key responsibilities
- Controlling access at the depot gate for vehicles, visitors and drivers
- Checking driver documents, CMRs and delivery paperwork
- Carrying out general yard duties and housekeeping
- Keeping accurate records and passing on any issues to the team
What we're looking for
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong record of turning up on time
- Good attention to detail
- Comfortable with paperwork and dealing with people politely and confidently
- Able to work independently, including on night shifts
- Previous gatehouse, security or logistics experience is welcome but not essential
Available shifts
- Lates, 42 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 16:00-00:00
- Friday and Saturday: off
- Sunday: 07:00-17:00
- Nights/Lates, 40 hours per week
- Monday and Tuesday: 23:00-07:00
- Wednesday and Thursday: off
- Friday to Sunday: 16:00-00:00
- Nights, 40 hours per week
- Monday and Tuesday: off
- Wednesday to Sunday: 23:00-07:00
