Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist manufacturer in the high-performance materials sector, supplying industries such as automotive, aerospace, marine, motorsport, rail, and subsea. Our client provides engineered solutions and technical support from concept through to project completion, supporting some of the most recognisable brands in the world.
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Leicester site on a permanent basis. You will play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities (Simplified)
- Maintenance & Breakdown Support
- Carry out routine scheduled maintenance and repairs.
- Respond quickly to equipment faults and breakdowns.
- Use diagnostic methods to identify root causes and restore production.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Support and improve PPM schedules based on breakdown findings.
- Help reduce the cost and frequency of equipment failures.
- Equipment Calibration & Safety
- Check and calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Always follow safety procedures and site regulations.
- Operational Support & Training
- Provide guidance to operators for basic maintenance tasks.
- Support new plant installations and upgrades.
- Work with other departments to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
- Record Keeping & Contractor Management
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and performance logs.
- Manage external contractors while onsite.
- Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Background in industrial, manufacturing, or agricultural maintenance.
- Electrical and mechanical experience within an industrial environment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Electrical engineering qualification.
- Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Working at heights qualification.
- Fabrication, machining, fitting, or welding experience.
- PLC fault finding and 3-phase electrical experience.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Understanding of hydraulics and compressed air systems.
