Facilities Engineer Location: South Leicestershire Job Type: Permanent Shift Times: Monday – Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08:30 – 16:00 (39 hours per week). Engineering @ 365 is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business specialising in the design, manufacture, and distribution of high-quality plastic products. Due to the departure of the current post holder, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Facilities Engineer to take ownership of site utilities, facilities, and maintenance across the 4 key manufacturing facilities on their site. Job Description As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping 4 facilities running smoothly by looking after essential utilities, buildings, and services. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same – you’ll be carrying out general maintenance, working with contractors, and helping drive improvements across all sites. Key Responsibilities * Carry out day-to-day maintenance across 4 facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and general repair work. * Look after site services such as heating, ventilation, water, compressed air, and electrics. * Support small projects such as lighting upgrades, energy-saving improvements, and refurbishment tasks. * Oversee external contractors when they are on-site, making sure work is done safely and correctly. * Help ensure the sites remain safe and compliant with health and safety standards. * Respond to ad-hoc maintenance requests from offices, production, and warehouse teams. * Take responsibility for site security and liaise with providers when needed. Requirements * ONC, City & Guilds, Level 3, 17th Edition or equivalent electrical qualification. * Experience working in a manufacturing environment. * Confidence to work independently and manage your own workload. * Multi-skilled approach to facilities maintenance (basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, contractor coordination). * Local candidates with a driving licence are preferred. Package & Benefits * Pay: £29,519.10 per annum. * Hours: Monday – Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00; Friday, 08:30 – 16:00 (39 hours per week). * Benefits include: * An actively promoted work-life balance. * On-site subsidised gym. * On-site subsidised café. * Life assurance (4x salary). * Employer pension contributions (5%). * Free on-site parking. * 28 days holiday per annum, rising with service up to 32 days.
